i started watching the adventure zone around a month ago and i've caught up to ep 60! i can finally refollow taz blogs without fear of spoilers :')
if you're hesitating or if you haven't heard of it, it's a really good podcast and i really recommend it! i can't really articulate how good this thing is, but after kind of losing homestuck finding taz helped a lot. it felt like a big important part of my life was fading away, but taz reminded me that there's so much more stuff capable of being as important to me as hs and ut. idk this is really sappy, sorry you guys have to read these kinds of journals when i'm in a happy mood at 1:30am haha
i can't say whether i like hs better or taz better or rank anything else i find important, but if i was ranking on the aspect of humor taz definitely wins. the mcelroys are just so funny, and never in a nasty way. i like listening to it while i draw in art class and i can't tell you how many times people have looked at me weirdly when i laughed out loud at a dumb pun or something. the story and characters are amazing, and the medium is so unique and effectively used.
(also want to add that taz is really diverse. don't really want to spoil any specific characters, but if you were lukewarm about listening to a podcast with three male main characters, there is a great deal more variety in this cast and it's just so so good)
if it sounds cool, please try it out!! i really wish i'd started it earlier (seems like i always get into things late), but i'm glad that i'm here now in the taz fandom. guess i'll check out the other mcelroy shows during the wait for the next episode :]
thanks for reading!
